Team Philosophy
Hilliard Davidson cross country is under construction as we are building an empire that others want to be apart of. Below are five things that all runners should do to be a part of the team philosophy:
- Each Hilliard Davidson athlete is to remember that they are an important part of this team and there are no weak links on this team. We work hard, get good grades, and help one another through the peaks and valleys
- Every athlete must dream. What the mind can perceive, the body can achieve. An athlete that does not dream of the stars probably will never get to touch them.
- Every athlete must have goals. Short term and long term, individual and team. Distance running takes time. Be patient, look for positive gains and work your way to the top of the mountain. Help each other because there is no greater achievement than one you can share with others.
- At all times Hilliard Davidson Cross Country members must conduct themselves with class. Let's not do things that others will look down on you or your team for. When we go to a competition, we want others to wish they had a team like ours.
- Have fun! When things get tough, remember that running is a gift. The ability to run is something many people would like to do more than anything else. Every step you run is a gift so work hard and enjoy your time on the team.
