District Recap: Davidson was relaxed and knew that we were working on a plan to prepare us for the state championships

in two weeks. Davidson was to go out slow and tempo the first loop.  This was to save energy for our finishes and the next

week’s regional race.  Adam Hoover and Schlecht were pinched back by the time they entered the woods, which caused

them to lose ground in the muddy mess of the rainforest.  The front pack was smart, staying way back from Rowe, who

went out too fast only to crash and burn.  After Davidson left the woods the first time, they stuck to their plan and waited

until they reentered the woods, which is exactly what the coaching staff wanted. Strong finishes by all and next week

Davidson will be ready to race our first race of the three that we have been preparing for.  Good news is that Schlecht

will be recovered from the flu and Adam Hoover will be ready.
